life mission statement

I had to write a life mission statement for one of the classes I'm currently taking, and I think it incorporates a lot of what I have been learning about God and myself in my 20s and 30s. Gosh, the more I learn, the more I recognize I have just brushed the surface and have so, so much more to learn. I am grateful for God's patience and grace. 

Here ya go...

I am the Beloved. My worth is not determined by what I do or fail to do. May I continue to lean into His great love for me, discern His voice among the noise, obediently follow as He leads, and trust Him despite an uncertain future. May I share His love with others, especially those from diverse backgrounds and on the margins of society, through friendship, hospitality, service, encouragement, listening, learning, and teaching. May I serve as a river of peace in an often stressful and anxious world. May I live with palms up, ready to give and receive. May I be aware of and take delight in the simple joys each day brings, living carefree, laughing, and enjoying the adventures of the abundant life Jesus offers. With Him, I am never alone.
